Robbie Stammers has been in the magazine industry for the last sixteen years. He was Editor-in-Chief of Leadership magazine, one of the oldest and most prestigious magazines in the country for five years. During the course of his career, he has also launched and successfully ran customer magazines for companies such as the Pam Golding Group, Microsoft SA, Avis, American Express Travel, Guinness UDV and the South African Medical Association to name but a few. He was also the magazine publisher for SARU (South African Rugby Union) and WPRFU (Western Province and the Stormers) for many years and was the founder and publisher of the consumer title CAPE ETC. Robbie has won a total of 15 PICA awards (including Best Editor of the year on two occasions) and 3 international TABBIE awards. He also won Customer Editor of the Year in 2013. Robbie also co-runs RuggaBugga Entertainment that produces Springbok rugby DVD’s on behalf of the SA Rugby Union.
Advertising Sales Director – Keith Hill
Keith Hill was born and raised in Zimbabwe as the son of a tobacco farmer. They moved to South Africa in the early eighties where he attended St Andrews College in Grahamstown. He qualified as a Horticulturist at Natal Technikon and worked for the Durban Parks Department until the mid-nineties. He later relocated to Cape Town where he became involved in advertising within the business, medical and outdoor markets on niche publications. His passion is the outdoors and adventure travel. According to Robbie, Keith could sell ice to eskimos!
Office Manager – Taryn Kershaw
Taryn was born in Cape Town and relocated to the Garden Route whilst she was in High school where she has spent most of her young adult life. One would think that this would have changed her into some sort of hippie-fairy but on the contrary, she is a planner and do-er of note, bordering on ‘controlling levels of OCD’ in her own admittance. She has worked in many different industries, doing what she does best – organising other people’s lives! Taryn relocated back to Cape Town in 2009 where she joined a well-known brand management company and put all her organisational skills to practice in the big city. Often referred to as the “Pitbull” in the office, the Insights Team are incredibly grateful and happy to finally have someone who can organise our chaotic bunch! In truth though, she is very down to earth and friendly and loves the outdoors especially camping and bass fishing.
Art Director – Stacey Storbeck-Nel
Stacey is an award winning designer with 18 years’ experience in both advertising and publishing. Her passion for design is evident in her high quality portfolio. Her most brave move was as the Creative Director of 22 titles. With several PICA awards behind her, Stacey launched Indio Design in 2006 and today works with the hottest names in business and general industry. Hard work, perfection, professionalism, excellent service and commitment are the cornerstones to Stacey’s success.
Chief Sub-editor – Tania Griffin
Armed with a red pen and dictionary, Tania Griffin has been reworking other people’s writing for 10 years while penning her own articles on travel and health & wellness as a former editor of Explore South Africa and The Waiting Room magazines. A Bachelor of Arts Honours graduate from the University of Cape Town, she has a keen eye for missing indents and gets a fit when people confuse “your” with “you’re”. She reads for a living and for leisure, and can’t ignore a crossword puzzle.
